The data provided is current as of Summer 2022, offering details on over 53,000 recreational points and various features across BLM lands. These points are identified with distinct color-coded icons denoting diverse categories such as Access Points, Boating Facilities, Campgrounds, Points of Interest, Scenic Vistas, Bathrooms, Parking Areas, Recreational Zones, and more. Additionally, the app delineates property boundaries and encompasses select hiking trails and roads.

Introducing new enhancements in this version! Responding to user feedback, we have implemented several upgrades and additions including a personalized 'My Points' feature. This feature empowers users to save preferred points of interest, assign distinctive colors and icons to them, marking locations like parking spots, notable attractions, or exceptional campsites. Furthermore, users have the option to export these customized points for compatibility with other devices.

Upon launching the app, users will navigate through five main screens. The Guide screen furnishes data legends and valuable tips to optimize navigation. The Info screen conveniently links users to various BLM properties, facilitating swift identification of specific locations and encouraging exploration of new sites. The About screen provides access to all open-source resources utilized in the app and offers insights into the developer GeoPOI. The Map Settings screen allows users to switch between four basemaps, download offline imagery, activate geolocation services, and adjust visibility settings for point categories. Finally, the Map screen serves as the central hub where all elements converge.

Within the Map screen interface, clusters of circles at wider zoom levels indicate the number of points within each cluster. As users zoom in by tapping on clusters, individual points and icons along with trails, roads, and boundaries become visible. Clicking on these features reveals pertinent details such as names and locations. Moreover, two search tools are provided - one on the left for address and town lookups and another on the right for querying feature names stored in the database.
